Linda Peete holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Education and has made her love of teaching her life's work. She began her journey as a teacher of yoga in 2004 at Faith United Methodist Church, exploring the blending of yoga and Christianity. She subsequently taught regular yoga classes at Parkland College and the Mettler Center for many years. Additionally, she has taught workshops in yoga studios, churches, and other centers in the area. Her current focus is on Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda, and Qiyoga in her home studio, Moving Spirit Yoga.
Linda began her yoga teacher training with YogaFit, where she completed her 200 hours. Appreciating the depth and magnitude of all that is yoga, she was eager to continue learning and growing which she did in Rishikesh, India, as well as at many conferences and workshops throughout the country.
Linda has completed specialized certifications with Sarah Powers in Yin/Insight Yoga®, Relax and Renew® Restorative Yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater, and iRest® Yoga Nidra with Richard Miller. In recent years, her curiosity about Ayurveda was piqued through retreats and workshops, and she decided to explore this ancient science of wellness and health further.
In 2014, Linda completed advanced certification at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Wellness to become an E-RYT-500 and now holds the title of Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher.
Most recently (during the pandemic), Linda has been fortunate to study Qigong online with Mimi Kuo-Deemer and Master Robert Peng and has completed training in Qigong for Yoga Teachers. From this, the current offering of Qiyoga was born.
